Biography

ALICE E. (WHITE) SCOTT, 73, of Grandview Drive, Groveton, died peacefully on November 19, 2009 at Week’s Medical Center in Lancaster after a brief illness.
Born in Stewartstown, NH on March 28, 1936 a daughter of Ernest J. and Pearl (Cass) White, she has been a resident of Groveton most of her life. She was a graduate of Lancaster Academy, class of 1954.
Before retiring Alice worked for many years for James River and then Wausau Paper Co. She was a past member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Groveton. Before “Scotty’s” passing, she loved to spend time with him at camp.
She loved yard sale-ing; taking pictures; crafting; four wheeling; snow machining and going out to eat. Alice loved getting together with “the gang” whom lovingly called her “Miss Alice”.
Alice is survived by her three daughters Sherry Breault of Freedom, NH; Sheryl Scott of Groveton and Shelly Paquette of Groveton/Wausau, WI; four grandchildren and her loving cat “Crusier”.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Keene “Scotty” Scott in 2001 and one brother Donald White.
At Alice’s request there will be no calling hours. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 1:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton with Pastor Aaron Cox of the Groveton United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Northumberland Cemetery.
