ALBERT E. DUPUIS, of Hillside Avenue, died peacefully at his home on May 24, 2008, just 32 days after his 80 th birthday, after a long illness. Born on April 22, 1928 in Berlin, NH a son of Philias and Leona (Guertin) Dupuis he has been a resident of Groveton most of his life. Albert worked as a bleacher for 46 years for James River Corp. retiring in 1990. In his younger years Albert liked hunting and fishing with his brothers and uncles. Recently he liked playing Bingo, the Red Sox and playing cribbage with his friend Dave Miles. One of his greatest pleasures was seeing his grandchildren. Albert is survived by his wife of 35 years Florence (Hopps) Dupuis of Groveton; daughter Norma Shields and husband Larry of Gilmanton, NH, their children Christopher and Patrick; a son Fred Gonyer and wife Rose of Stark and their son Ricky; daughter Cathy Gray and husband Michael, Sr. of Jefferson and their children Michael Gray, Jr. and Terry Hamilton; son Elroy Dupuis and his son Eric; and the children of his deceased daughter Charlotte Whiting, Bobbie Jo Downs; Erica Downs and Travis Whiting; a few great grandchildren; one brother Leon Dupuis of Groveton; many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents; a daughter Charlotte Whiting; three brothers Ernest Dupuis; Norman Dupuis and Lionel Dupuis and one sister Arlene Nadeau. At Albert's request there will be no calling hours or services at this time. A graveside service will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Albert's name to the Hospice of Week's Medical Center; 278 Main Street; Lancaster, NH 03584. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
