ALICE GRACE (DUNHAM) SLABY, 90, died Friday February 24, 2006 at Concord Hospital, Concord, NH after a period of declining health. She was born in Sandy River Plantation, Maine June 6, 1915 the daughter of Everett L. and Roseanne (McHugh) Dunham. She graduated from Groveton High School class of 1934. She was married to John S. Slaby of Central Falls, R.I. and they lived in the Groveton area and retired in Rhode Island. She has been a resident of the Epsom Health Care Center in Epsom, NH since 1988. She is survived by her son Thomas E., Sr. and wife Ruthann Johnson of Northwood, NH; three grandchildren, Jon E. Graham of San Jose, CA; Nancy S. (Graham) Lynch of Westmoreland, NH and Thomas E. Johnson, Jr. of Las Vegas, Nevada; along with four great grand children Jessica Lynch of Keene, NH; Graham Lynch of Westmoreland, NH; Thomas E. Johnson III and Savannah M. Johnson of Las Vegas, Nevada. She was predeceased her husband John on November 29, 1984; by both her parents; two brothers Lyman and Everett and four sisters Gertrude, Geneva, Elizabeth and Dorothy. There will be a private family calling hour from 9 - 9:45 am at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State Street; Groveton. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier Church; 11 State Street; Groveton, NH. Burial will be in April in the Summer Street Cemetery; Cemetery Street; Lancaster, NH. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
