ANNETTE GOLDREYER, 97, of Country Village Genesis Elder Care Center died at Country Village on Thursday, November 17, 2011. Annette was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania a daughter of Abraham and Rose (Kavelik) Hoder. She lived most of her life in the New York City area. She was a homemaker and did much volunteer work with troubled and autistic children. She was married to Al Goldreyer, a loving, wonderful husband. They retired to Longboat Key, Florida where she remained, after his death in 1978, for many more happy years, fishing, playing tennis and knitting. She moved to Groveton, NH in 1996 to be closer to her family. She had a passion for fishing and taught her children and grandchildren to fish. One of her grandsons is now a Fisheries Biologist for the State of New Hampshire. Her grandchildren called her Chummy, her nieces and nephews called her Anta. She was loved by all. Family members include her daughter Ellen Gries of Groveton and her son and his wife Harvey Goldreyer and Linde Caughy of Venice, California; her grandchildren Gabe Gries, Jesse Gries and wife Karla Helland, Nico Goldreyer and Luke and his wife Ashley Goldreyer. Her great grandchildren are Lucas, Aiden, and Leina Gries all of whom love to fish. She has many loving nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law Gloria Hoder who were a very important part of her life. In addition Joyce Fadden-Bouchard has been with Annette as a caregiver and friend for over fourteen years, helping to make her life as good as it could be. She was predeceased by her husband Al, her sister Evelyn and her brother Hal. Annette had style and grace. She had pizzazz. If there was a party she was there, if there was no party she made one! She will be missed. "Death ends a life, but not a relationship." Friends may visit Ellen at her home call and come by. A celebration of Annette's life will be held at a later date in Long Island, New York. Memorial donations may be made in Annette's name to the Residential Account c/o Country Village Genesis Elder Care; 91 Country Village Road; Lancaster, NH 03584. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
