ASHLEIGH ELIZABETH (HIGGINS) RYAN, 35, of Groveton and formerly of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, died suddenly at her home on Saturday, October 18, 2025.

Ashleigh was born on May 23, 1990, in Newton, MA a daughter of Daniel James and Cynthia Jean (Chapman) Higgins. She grew up in the Boston area and graduated from Elizabeth Seton Academy, class of 2008.

Ashleigh and Matt moved to Groveton three years ago from Woonsocket, Rhode Island and just fell in love with the area.

Ashleigh was the owner and operator of Mountain Pawtrol Pet Care in Groveton.

Ashleigh loved being outdoors and enjoyed hiking, snow machining, paddle-boating, mountain climbing, to name a few.

She is survived by her parents Daniel and Cynthia Higgins of Boston, MA, Husband of twelve years Matthew Ryan and their two sons Landon Ryan and Luke Ryan all of Groveton, one sister Danielle Higgins and one brother Sean Higgins, both of Boston, MA, nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in Ashleigh's name to the Riverside Animal Rescue, 236 Riverside Ave., Lunenburg, VT 05906, or any animal rescue of your choice.
