Obituary

BEATRICE "BEA" H. (MINER) ELLIS, 70, of Main Street, Lisbon, died peacefully Tuesday evening, November 30, at Lafayette Center in Franconia after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in New London, Conn. On March 21, 1940 to Bert and Eva (White) Miner she was raised and lived in Connecticut until moving to Florida where she lived for 15 years before moving to New Hampshire four and one half years ago. Bea enjoyed cooking and being a housewife and loved her cat. She was a member of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband of 50 years Richard Ellis Sr. of Lyman, NH; daughter Beatrice Lacoss of Lyman, NH; three sons Richard Ellis Jr. of Middletown, Conn.; Bert Ellis of Millinocket, Maine; and Robert Ellis of Middletown, Conn.; five grandchildren and one great grandchild; one sister Shirley Quinn of Canterbury, Conn.; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held at the Spencer Funeral Home in East Hampton, Conn. on Sunday, December 5th from 6-8 pm. Funeral services will be on Monday, December 6th at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Skinnerville Cemetery in East Hampton. Memorial service will be held at the Shared Ministry Church in Lisbon, NH at 6:00 pm on Monday December 13, with Pastor Lynn Winter officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. New Hampshire arrangements are entrusted to the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton, NH.
