Beatrice Mae Tuttle of Croteau Road, Stark, died peacefully at her home on Thursday, November 14, 2019, just 16 days before her 100th birthday. She was the Boston Post Cane holder for the Town of Stark.
Bea was born on December 1, 1919, in Groveton, NH, and was a graduate of Groveton High School, class of 1938. She was a resident of Stark for fifty plus years.
Before retiring, Bea worked as a cook at the Stark Village School and cleaning doctor's offices and private homes for many years.
She was a member of the Groveton American Legion Auxiliary, where she was a past president. She was a member of the Moose Club; and a forty plus year member of the Grange.
Bea loved cooking, knitting and spending time with her family and friends.
Bea is survived by her children Carolyn Carey and husband Donald of Tucson, AZ; Dennis Lunn; Judith Wentworth and husband Clark; and Linda Wentworth all of Stark; Dale Lunn of Berlin; two daughter-in-laws Blanche Lunn of Andover, NH and Cathy Lunn of Gorham, NH; sixteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband James W. Lunn; her second husband Arthur Tuttle; her significant other of twenty years Bob Patterson; her oldest son Darrell Lunn; her youngest son Dana Lunn; one great-grandson Nicolas Bishop; her two brothers Elbert Scott, Jr. and Gerald Pearson and one son-in-law Barry Wentworth.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019, from 4-7 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019, at 11:00 am at the funeral with Pastor Patricia Williams of the Groveton and Stark United Methodist Churches officiating. Burial will be on June 12, 2020, at 11:00 am in the Northumberland Cemetery.
