  • BERNARD WILLIAM DUPUIS, 84, of Lancaster and formerly of Northumberland died peacefully on November 30, 2019, at Country Village-Genesis Elder Care Center in Lancaster where he had been a resident for the past four years.
    Bernard was born on February 28, 1935, in Northumberland, NH a son of Ovila and Geraldine (Hope) Dupuis and was a resident of Northumberland until moving to Country Village.
    Bernard owned and operated the Dupuis Country Store for many years. He loved coin collecting; gambling; antiques; and Cadillacs.
    He was a member of the St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish/St. Francis Xavier Church of Groveton.
    Bernard is survived by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; five siblings; Dorothy "Dorsey" Thayer; Janet Gagnon; Lucille Savage; Robert "Bob" Dupuis; and Maurice Dupuis, and his partner of over 50 years Richard Powell on March 18, 2018.
    There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 29, 2020, at 11:00 am in the St. Francis Cemetery on Brown Rd in Groveton, with Fr. Daniel Deveau officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Bernard's name to the Alzheimer's Association; 225 N. Michigan Ave.; Fl. 17; Chicago, IL 60601.
