BEVERLY ANN "BEV" (MAGUIRE) McFARLAND, 90, of Haverhill, MA and formerly Groveton, NH, died peacefully on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Aspen Hill Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Haverhill, where she has been a resident for the past several years.

Bev, or "Mrs. M" as she was known by many, was born in Stark, NH on May 4, 1934, a daughter of the late Herman and Nellie (Weagle) Maguire. She was a resident of Groveton since 1949, coming from Chrystal, NH until moving to MA fifteen years ago to be closer to her son and his family.

Bev was a graduate of Groveton High School, class of 1953. She was a member of the Groveton United Methodist Church. Over the years, she worked as an office worker for SAU 58 and was the I.S.S. Teacher for Groveton High School for many years before retiring.

Bev became a member of the Red Hat Society after moving to Massachusetts; she enjoyed playing BINGO; was a member of the Residence Committee at Aspen Hill and was lovingly known as the Queen of the Dayroom.

Beverly is survived by her son William "Bill" McFarland and his wife Kathleen "Katie" of Groveland, MA; two grandchildren Emily Ann and Andrew Joseph.

She was predeceased by her husband Willard McFarland in 1970; one brother Winston Maguire; and three sisters Shirley Christopher; Doris Hand; and Roma Maguire.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 23rd from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 24th at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Fr. Daniel Deveau officiating. Burial will follow in the Emerson Road Cemetery in Stark.
