BRANDON KEITH NEWTON, 17, of O'Dell Park in Groveton, died Monday July 2, 2007 in Lancaster, NH from injuries received during a motor vehicle accident. Born September 8, 1989 in Lancaster, NH a son of Brian and Becky (Merrow) Newton he was a lifelong resident of Groveton. He was a senior at Groveton High School and was attending Hugh J. Gallon Vocational Center in Littleton to become a mechanic. In the winter months he worked at Brenton Woods Ski Area. Brandon is survived by his parents Brian and Becky Newton of Groveton; brother Raymond Newton and his fiancée Leah Washburn both of Bethlehem; Maternal grandmother Loraine Merrow of Lancaster; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Charles Merrow in February 2007; paternal grandfather Raymond Newton in 1984 and his paternal grandmother Sarah "Tippitt" Newton in 1991. Brandon will be missed deeply by his numerous friends and family members. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton, Funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 pm at the Groveton United Methodist Church with Rev. Sherry O'Bara pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the Northumberland Cemetery.
