CAMILLE JESSE MARTEL, 63, of Colebrook, died peacefully at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.
Camille was born on January 14, 1959, in Stewartstown, NH a son of the late Camille Joseph Martel and Ida Maude (Jordan) Martel. He was raised in Errol, NH, and has been a resident of Colebrook for the past twenty years.
Camille was a licensed electrician and over the years worked for Tillotson's Rubber Company and Cody Electric. Camille was currently employed as a Peer Support Specialist for the past seven years at the Peer Alternative Life Center; The Haven in Colebrook.
Camille was a true outdoorsman enjoying hunting; fishing; playing golf; gold-panning and shooting pool.
He is survived by two brothers; Leonard Martel and his wife Arlene of Colebrook and his twin Linwood Martel of Williston, VT; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; sister and brother-in-law Minnie and Leonard "Lenny" Egan; and two nephews Michael Egan and Fredrick Egan.
At Camille's request, there will be no services at this time. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am in the Errol Cemetery on Saturday, May 28, 2022, with Pastor Paul Lavang of the Hope Baptist Church in Stewartstown, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
In lieu of flowers, Camille requests memorial donations to be made in his name to the Two Rivers Ride for Cancer Inc.; 53 Spring Street; Colebrook, NH 03576.
