CAROL ANN FINDLEY, 70, of Manchester, died peacefully, April 3, 2009 at Country Village-Genesis Elder Care Center in Lancaster after a lengthy illness. Born in Groveton, NH on March 5, 1939 a daughter of the late Ernest E. and Neoma B. (Walker) Findley, she was raised in Groveton and moved to the Concord/ Manchester area over twenty years ago. Carol enjoyed cooking when raising her children; crocheting and doing word search puzzles. She also enjoyed spending time with all her friends at the Gayle Home. She is survived by her son Robert N. Gilman and his partner Paul Edwards of Raleigh, NC; two daughters Lisa A. Davis and husband Ed, Jr. of Brownington, VT and Tina M. Havlock and husband Maurice of Lincoln, NH; six grandchildren Robert P. Gilman of Virginia; Danna Davis; Derek Davis; Jessica Davis all of Vermont;Amber Cooper and Christopher Weeks of Virginia; four great grandchildren Aiden Davis; Nicholas Glodgett; Bailey Weeks and Noah Weeks; one brother James E. Findley of Lancaster, NH; one sister Mildred A. Murphy of Berlin, NH and a few nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her parents and one sister Gloria M. Sweeny. Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 6th from 5-8 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7th at 10 am at the funeral home, with Pastor Aaron Cox of the Groveton United Methodist, officiating. Inurnment will be in the spring in the Northumberland Cemetery.
