CAROLE CECILE (ROCK) COSTA , 77, of Lost Nation Rd, Groveton, New Hampshire, died unexpectedly on November 19, 2017 at her residence.

Born on July 7, 1940 a daughter of Ovila A. Rock and Anna June (Moniz) Rock, she grew up on a coastal farm in Tiverton, Rhode Island. She received her Licensed Practical Nursing "LPN" license in the early 1980s. She and her husband Maurice moved to the North Country in 1987. Carole continued her education at White Mountain Community College, earning a degree as a Registered Nurse "RN" in 1991.

Carole worked at Weeks Medical Center for thirteen years.  She deeply loved painting; hiking, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Carole is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Maurice Costa of Groveton, NH; two sons Jerry H. Crompton and significant other Terrie Caris of Groveton, NH; and David Brian Crompton and wife Sherrie (Geysen) Crompton of Stonington, CT; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two sisters; Anna and Linda; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carole was predeceased by her parents and one son, Timothy J. Crompton in 2002.

At Carole's request, there will be no public services. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. The family will announce a celebration of Carole's life to be held in the spring of 2018.
