CAROLE ANN (MARTIN) TYLER, 83, Pittsburg and formerly Stratford, died peacefully at Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital in Colebrook on Friday, September 11, 2026, with her loving family by her side.

Carole was born on January 30, 1943, in Lancaster, NH,to the late Shirley and Flora (Shatney) Martin. She graduated from Stratford High School, class of 1962. Carole grew up in Stratford before moving to Bloomfield, VT, then Underhill, VT, and then back to Stratford, where she lived from 1969 until 2012, when she moved to Colebrook and then to Pittsburg in 2019.

Carole was a member of the First Baptist Church in Stratford.

Carole started the Stratford Boy Scouts Chapter, ran an AMWAY business for fifteen years, worked as a factory worker, a CNA, a teacher's aide, provided private duty care for the elderly, then worked at the Balsam's Motel and Resort, and finally at Santa's Village.

She enjoyed sewing, quilting, embroidering, crocheting, crafts, and cake decorating.

Carole is survived by her five children, Arlene Tyler Paquette and husband Michael of Pittsburg, Arlene's twin Arland Tyler and wife Donna of Groveton, Stacey Tyler of Littleton, Jimmy Tyler and wife Darlene of Colebrook, and Angela Hooker and husband Wayne “Buzz” of Maidstone, VT; two daughter-in-laws Betty Tyler and Tammy Tyler, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, three siblings Betty Williams and husband Larry of Bloomfield, VT, Claire Steady of Berlin, and Danny Martin and wife Darlene of Colebrook, along with many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by, in addition to her parents, her husband of 46 years, Clyde A. Tyler, on June 29, 2010, and two brothers, Shirley Martin, Jr., and Ronald Martin.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home,100 State St., Groveton. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church, 51 Main St., North Stratford, with Pastor Mike Pelletier officiating. Interment will follow in the West Charleston Cemetery in West Charleston, VT.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Carole's name to the North Country Home Health and Hospice, 536 Cottage St., Littleton, NH 03561.
