CAROLYN VIRGINIA CURTIS, 92, of Tetu Road, Groveton, died peacefully Monday, June 1, 2015 at Country Village Genesis Center in Lancaster after a brief illness. She was born on February 28, 1923 in Northumberland, NH a daughter of Albert Clarence and Florence (Baird) Curtis. Carolyn was a graduate of Groveton High School class of 1941. She lived in New Orleans, Louisiana for about fifteen years and then moved back to Groveton in 1966. Carolyn worked for many years at the Groveton Paper Co.; she was an avid doll collector; loved crafts and animals especially cats. Carolyn loved and was loved by her children and grandchildren. Carolyn is survived by her children, Glenn Lurvey and wife Pamela of Jefferson, NH; James Lurvey Biloxi, MS; Wayne Lurvey of Jefferson, NH; Beverly Amberziski of Illinois; Carol Seymour of Ocean Spring, MS; Richard Lurvey of Jefferson, NH; Brian Lurvey and wife Paula of Monroeville, PA; and Edward Masgula of Virginia; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three siblings Elizabeth; Marjorie; and Clarence. She was predeceased by her three husbands; one son Bruce Masgula and one brother Robert Curtis. At Carolyn's request there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held in the Summer Street Cemetery in Lancaster on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 10:00 am with Pastor Danielle Joy Rodrigues pastor of the Groveton United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are being handles by the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Carolyn's name to a charity of one's choice.
