Charles "Puff" William Tetu, Jr

CHARLES WILLIAM “PUFF” TETU, JR., 83, of Groveton, died peacefully at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon, on Friday, February 20, 2026, after a lengthy illness.

“Puff” was born on December 28, 1942, in Groveton, NH, the son of the late Charles William Tetu, Sr., and Della (Gaudette) Tetu.

“Puff” grew up in Groveton and worked for the James River and Wausau Paper companies for over 30 years. He enjoyed blacksmithing, woodworking, playing guitar, and dancing. He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton.

“Puff” is survived by his six children, Kimberly Burke of Bristol, NH, Kelly Thomas and husband Rick of Concord, NH, Roderick Tetu and wife Kellie of Alfred, ME, Rhoda Willette and husband Terry of Alexandria, NH, Annette Cole and husband Michael of Berlin, NH, and Loretta Morrissette and husband David of Gorham, NH, fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one sister, Lorraine “Tootsie” Smith of Groveton, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by two sisters, Bonnie “Teenie” Gadwah and Carolyn “Bin” Sweatt, and one great-nephew, Logan Chumack.

Memorial calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor of the St. Francis Xavier Church, officiating. Inurnment will be on Friday, June 19, 2026, at 2:00 pm in the St. Francis Cemetery on Brown Road, Groveton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in “Puff's” name to the Senior Meals on Wheels of Coos County, 34 Jefferson Road, Whitefield, NH 03598.
