CHRISTOPHER JOHN ALDRICH, 57, of Groveton, died Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, after a short illness.
Chris was born at home in Lancaster, NH on December 27, 1967, the son of George and Sylvia (Evans) Aldrich.
Chris graduated from White Mountain Regional High School in 1986, he then received his Associates Degree in Culinary Arts.
Chris grew up in Lancaster and moved to Groveton 29 years ago, met his wife Lorna and they were married in September of 1997.
Over the years, Chris has worked at a flower shop with Everett Aldrich; as a chef at The Franconia Inn; a sales clerk at Sears; a bank teller at both Siwooganock and Passumpsic Bank; as a case manager for North Country Health and Human Services and AVH Health; an EMT for both Lancaster and Groveton Ambulance departments; and was currently working as a Community Integrator for Vershire.
Chris was very artsy and enjoyed woodworking; drawing; painting; and making cakes for all occasions.
Chris loved his customers and clients, he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Chris is survived by his wife of 27 years Lorna (Hurlbutt) Aldrich of Groveton, his mother Sylvia Aldrich of Lancaster, adopted son Seth Aldrich, four siblings Sara Spinelli and husband Peter of Thornton, Nan Waldo of Lincoln, Roger Aldrich and wife Heather and Dennis Aldrich all of Lancaster, one brother-in-law Brian Hurlbutt and his daughter Breanna of Groveton, three aunts, one uncle, four nieces, several cousins and his dog Mia.
He was predeceased by his father George Aldrich in January of 2002.
Memorial calling hour will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Groveton United Methodist Church. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm at the church with Pastor Eungil Cho officiating. A luncheon will follow in the Carter Hall, attached to the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Chris' name to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center; One Medical Center Drive, Lebanon, NH 03756.
