Obituary

CLAYTON "BOB" ROBERT HARVEY , 88, of Dean Brook Rd in Northumberland, died peacefully on Monday, June 18, 2018, at Country Village-Genesis Elder Center in Lancaster after a lengthy illness.

Bob was born on June 7, 1930, in Buffalo, New York a son of Clayton John and Viola (Haskin) Harvey.  He was raised in Buffalo and Rockport, NY; he lived in Idaho from 2000 until moving to Northumberland in 2006.  He was a graduate of New Fane High School and Alfred State College.

Bob was a veteran of the US Navy serving his country during the Korean Conflict as a U.S. Naval Torpedoman's Mate on the USS Howard W. Gilmore AS16 from 1951 thru 1953.

After returning home from the service, Bob was a chicken farmer and later became a dairy farmer until he started his own business in Welding, which he did for over twenty years before retiring.  His hobbies included Woodworking and cooking.

Bob is survived by his wife of twenty-six years Diane Harvey of Northumberland; two daughters "Jeri" Kirk and Barbara Harvey; one granddaughter Jennifer McLain; one grandson Nathan Zimiga and three stepsons Patrick Conley; Tim Conley and Paul Conley.
