Obituary

CLYDE ALBERT TYLER, 74, of Route 3, North Stratford, died peacefully June 29, 2010 at Country Village Genesis Elder Care Center in Lancaster. Born February 13, 1936 in Newbury, Vermont the son of Fred C. and Wilma (Green) Tyler, he has been a resident of North Stratford since 1969. Before retiring in 2005, Clyde worked as a mechanic for Nugent Motor Co. Clyde enjoyed reading; puzzles; woodworking and was quite the handyman. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren; he was a huge family man. Clyde is survived by his wife of 46 years Carol (Martin) Tyler of North Stratford; children Arlene Tyler Kelsea and her significant other Michael Paquette of Pittsburg, NH; Arland Tyler and wife Betty of Groveton; Stacey Tyler and wife Tammy of Colebrook; Jimmy Tyler and wife Darlene of Groveton; and Angela Hooker and husband Wayne of Maidstone, VT; twelve grandchildren; his mother Wilma Tyler of Barton, VT; two sisters Marjorie Sykes of Holland, VT and Gail Nadeau of Jericho, VT; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Fred Tyler on March 31, 1983. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral service will be on Friday July 2, 2010 at 10:00 am at the First Baptist Church in North Stratford with Rev. Cindy Grassi, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the West Charleston Cemetery in West Charleston, VT.
