DANA BRADLEY “D” GONYER, 63, of Groveton, died at Maine Medical Center in Portland after a brief illness.

Dana was born in Lancaster, NH on September 8, 1962, a son of the late James Durwood and Millicent Jane (Cloutier) Gonyer. Dana lived most of his life in Groveton, except the few years he lived in Tennessee and South Carolina.

Dana was a very talented auto body man and over the years worked for Berlin City, Paul's Auto Body, himself, DK & Sons, and Robinson Auto Repairs.

Dana enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing horseshoes, canoeing, and tenting. He was very artistic and loved to paint.

Dana had a heart of gold and would do anything for his family and friends. He was a good housekeeper, was very loving, thoughtful, and caring, and had an excellent sense of humor.

Dana is survived by his brother James M. Gonyer and wife Roxann of Groveton, Kelley Brooks and husband John Jr of Salley, South Carolina, companion Sharon Ramsay of Groveton, two nieces and two nephews, Mandy Valdez and husband Edgar of Fabius, NY, Daegan Gonyer and wife Rachel Redden of Fulton, NY, Delenn Styles and husband Reid of Groveton, and Johnny Brooks of Spring Hill, FL, great nieces and nephews Malakai, Triston, Aunahka, Isaiac “Izzy”, and Hudson, and his cat Hurley.

Dana was predeceased by his father James D. on April 30, 2008, and his mother Millicent J. on December 23, 2013.

At Dana's request, there will be no calling hours or services. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home, Groveton.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dana's name to Riverside Animal Rescue, 236 Riverside Ave., Lunenburg, VT 05906.
