DANA JON LUNN, 47 of Berlin, died Sunday August 6, 2006 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH after a brief illness. Born June 1, 1959 in Lancaster, NH a son of Beatrice (Scott) Tuttle, he grew up in the Stark/Groveton area and was a resident of Berlin for the past five years. Dana was a graduate of Groveton High School, class of 1977, then went to college at the New Hampshire Technical College in Berlin and received his degree in culinary arts. At the time of his illness he was employed at the Appalachian Mountain Club. He was a resident of Colebrook from the mid 1980s to the early 1990s while he was employed at the Balsam's Resort, he then moved to Manchester for a few years and then to Berlin where he worked for the White Mountain Hotel for 5 years. Dana was an avid NASCAR fan; he was a fan of all the New England Sports Teams. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing horseshoes and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. He loved cooking at home and at work and was always ready for a good time. Dana is survived by his wife of 27 years, Catherine (Platt) Lunn of Berlin; son Christopher Lunn and wife Karen of Berlin; Daughter Nicole Bell and husband Rick of Berlin and daughter Jillian Lunn of Berlin and her companion Aaron Labonville of Gorham; two granddaughters McKayla and Payton. He is also survived by his mother Beatrice Tuttle of Stark; his siblings Darrell Lunn of Franklin, NH; Caroline Carey of Arizona; Dennis Lunn of Stark; Judy Wentworth of Stark; Linda Wentworth of Milan and Dale Lunn of Stark; along with his father-in-law Robert Platt of Groveton. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive him. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law Rita Platt on July 3, 2003 and a nephew Nicholas Bishop on July 18, 2004. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, August 8th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State Street; Groveton, NH 03582. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, August 9th at 1:00 pm at the St. Francis Xavier Church; 11 State Street; Groveton with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Francis Cemetery; Brown Road; Groveton.
