DAVID RICHARD DEMERS, 76, died peacefully at his residence on Sunday, February 2, 2014, with his family by his side, after a brief illness. David was born on October 18, 1937 in Berlin, NH a son of the late Alfred and Louise (Lemieux) Demers. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for several companies over the years doing mostly road construction and was a school bus driver for many years for SAU # 58 until 2007 then First Student from 2007 until retiring in 2008. David was a member of the St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish, St. Francis Church in Groveton. He is survived by his son Nicholas DeMers and fiancée Crystal Newton and their son Lucas DeMers all of Groveton, three sisters Dorothy Gildea of Canton, Mass.; Gladys Matheson of Southeastern, Mass.; and Sister Mary Lorraine DeMers of Jamaica Plains, Mass.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. There will be no services at this time. A graveside service will be held on June 14, 2014 at 11:00 am in the Sand Hill Cemetery in Dummer, NH. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton, NH.
