DAVID NEWELL McMANN, 70, of Brooklyn Street, died Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Littleton Regional Hospital. He was born in Stratford Hollow on November 10, 1943 a son of Harold David and Bertina Pearl (Blodgett) McMann. He was a lifelong resident of the Stratford/Groveton area. He attended Stratford High School. He was a veteran of the US Army and served during the Korean Conflict. David worked for both the Town of Stratford and the Town of Northumberland over the years as a mechanic and held the position of Road Agent in Northumberland. David was a member of the Groveton American Legion and a past member of the Stratford VFW. He loved to tinker with cars; was an avid car enthusiast; a good mechanic and would build a motor in his home every winter. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Judy (Kennett) McMann of Groveton; children Davine "Tisha" McMann of Coventry, CT; Lisa (Les) Luginbuhl of Willington, CT; Nadine "Dee" (Mike) Gilcris of North Stratford, NH; and Patrick (Rebecca) McMann of Ellington, CT; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother Mike McMann of Concord, NH and one sister Lucille Nicholas of Hooksett, NH and several nieces; nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one son Jonathan Kennett and one sister Ruth Ann Johnson. There will be no services at this time. Service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton, NH.
