Diane Francis (Miles) Mayhew, 68, of Groveton, died peacefully June 15, 2009 at Week's Medical Center in Lancaster, with her loving family by her side. Born in Groveton, NH on May 2, 1941 a daughter of Lewis C. and Vivian G. (Simpson) Miles, she had been a resident of Groveton her whole life. Diane owned and operated the Craft Basket in Groveton for 15 years until she sold it due to her health. She was a secretary at the Groveton United Methodist Church for about 5 years. She enjoyed crafts of all kinds and playing Bingo. Diane is survived by her two daughters Bethany "Beth" Dowse of Guildhall, VT and Marcia Mayhew of Plymouth, NH; and one sister Joan Kenney of Groveton. She was predeceased by her parents; one sister Marcie and one brother Raymond. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 16 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday June 17 at 11:00 am at the Groveton United Methodist Church, with Pastor Aaron Cox Officiating. Burial of Cremains will be at the convenience of the family.
