DORIS JEAN (TIPPITT) TETREAULT, 91, of Winter Street, Groveton, died peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a brief illness.
Doris was born on July 8, 1929, in Groveton, NH one of nine children to Robert George Tippitt, Sr. and Ellen (Morgan) Tippitt.
Doris was a graduate of Groveton High School, class of 1948. Doris and her husband Tracy lived in North Stratford for a few years when they first were married before moving into their home on Winter St. In her younger years, she worked in the shipping department at the Groveton paper mill, then after having children she became a homemaker, raising her children and babysitting for other families in town.
Doris loved BINGO; watching "The Sons of Anarchy"; dancing; swimming; fishing; putting together puzzles; playing cards and telling jokes. She also loved spending time with her family and watching movies.
Doris is survived by her six children Pamela Styles-Jaworowski and husband John of Groveton; Holly Caron of Groveton; Joe Tetreault and wife Monika of Wagram, NC; Valarie Gearty and husband David of Lebanon, ME; Peggy Doyon and husband Tom of Whitefield; and Stanley Tetreault of Groveton and his significant other Robin Lynn; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years J. Tracy Tetreault on December 20, 2005; her six sisters Sarah Newton; Hilda LeMay; Alice Parker; Lucy Allen; Evelyn Miller; and Lorraine Tetreault; her two brothers Warren Tippitt and Robert Tippitt, Jr.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2020, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Do to COVID Graveside service will be held at 2:30 pm at the Northumberland Cemetery; 334 Lancaster Rd; Groveton, with Fr. Timothy Brooks of St. Paul's Episcopal Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made in Doris' name to either the North Country Home Health and Hospice; 536 Cottage St, Littleton, NH 03561 or the American Red Cross; PO Box 37839 Boone, IA 50037-0839.
