DOROTHY M. (COOKE) WHEELER, 94, of Thompson Road, died peacefully Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Weeks Medical Center. Born in New Brunswick on July 18, 1915 the daughter of Percy and Vera (MacNaughton) Cooke she has been a resident of Stark since 1971. Before moving to Stark she lived in Sharon, Mass and Groveton, NH. She attended the Stark United Church and used to teach Bible Study. Before retiring she worked as a supervisor for Raytheon Electronics. She enjoyed crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She went 4-wheeling in her mid-80's. Dorothy is survived by her four children Juanita Benway and husband Fred of Stark; James "Reggie" Peers of Stark; Marilyn Mason and husband Harley, Sr. of Guildhall, VT and Wayne Wheeler and wife Dot of Concord, NH; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Harold Wheeler; one grandson Steven Mason on March 28, 1982 and one great grandson Harley Mason III on October 8, 1998. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2010 from 5-8 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral service will be on Friday April 23, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Groveton United Methodist Church, with Pastor Aaron Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Stratford Cemetery.
