DOUGLAS BRIAN MURDOCK , 66, of Bordeau Rd., Stratford, NH died unexpectedly on January 16, 2023, at his home.
Douglas was born in Worcester, MA on January 14, 1957, to the late Carroll and Shirley (Young) Murdock. He was a resident of Massachusetts until moving to Stratford, NH nearly ten years ago.
Douglas worked as a floral designer for 20 years working for Earl Johnson's Florist and Pennock Company wholesale. Later in life, he worked for TelCom as data technician and was an Assistant Manager for Honey Farms Convenience Stores.
Douglas was a true lover of music and wrote songs for others. Douglas was a member of many bands and was a prolific lyricist and composer. Doug was a wonderful vocalist and played keyboards, guitar, and many other instruments. Douglas had a great love of the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, camping and fishing.
Douglas is survived by his daughter Katherine A. Murdock of Clinton, MA; and four siblings Carolyn L. Berthiaume and husband Erich P. of Meredith, NH; David A. Murdock and wife Lynn of Holden; MA Judith L. Murdock and husband John Eul of Oxford, MA; and Sandra K. Olson of Holden, MA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Douglas is also survived by his step-sister Nancy M. Zekri of Naples, FL.
He was predeceased by his parents Carroll and Shirley A.; two step-fathers Willis A. Olson and Leonard E. Hines and his step-sister Beverly C. Logan.
The memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Greendale Peoples Church in Worcester, MA. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
