ELEANOR (PENNEY) DUPUIS, 86 of Woodsville passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at the Grafton County Nursing Home-Hospice Room in North Haverhill, NH. She was born on December 30, 1921 in Groveton, NH the daughter of the late Joseph and Amelia (Malenfant) Penney. Eleanor graduated from Groveton High School in 1939. She worked in the Post Office and after marriage, she and her husband; Robert owned and operated a grocery store in Groveton for many years, before moving to Woodsville 41 years ago. Eleanor loved politics, reading and spending time with her family. She is predeceased by her brother Robert Penney of Groveton. Eleanor is survived by her husband of 62 years Robert "Bob" Dupuis of Woodsville and two daughters Charlotte Emery of Contoocook and Janice Boswell and husband James of Nashua as well as two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2008 from 7pm- 9pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State Street; Groveton, NH. A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday March 14, 2008 at 10:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton, with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor officiating. Burial will be May 24, 2008 at 11:00 am in the Northumberland Cemetery.
