ELIZABETH "KITTY" MAY (CASS) ARSENAULT, 87, of Brooklyn Street, Groveton, died Friday July 18, 2008 at Country-Village Genesis Elder Care Center after a lengthy illness. Born in Groveton on March 2, 1921 a daughter of James H. and Sarah (Emery) Cass she was a lifelong resident of Groveton. Before retiring in 1983 she worked for 37 years for Diamond International and Groveton Papers. She was a VFW Auxiliary member; loved gardening, knitting, crocheting and dancing. She also loved reading, was an extreme patriot and loved the town of Groveton. Kit is survived by her son Thomas Covell and wife Gloria of Groveton; two daughters Beth Bean and husband Charlie of Bethel, ME; Jeanne Miller and husband Robert of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; one brother Robert "Peter" Cass of Lyndonville, VT; one sister Flora Auger of Groveton, six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Perry D. Arsenault; son David Covell; two sisters Ruth Cass and Mary Stinson; four brothers Thomas Cass, James Cass, Avery Cass and Elmer "Dubby" Cass. Calling hours will be held at Kit's house on Brooklyn Street on Sunday, July 27, 2008 from 1-5 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 28, 2008 at 10:00 am at the Groveton United Methodist Church in Groveton, with Pastor Aaron Cox officiating.
