Elizabeth Anne "Betty" (Hachey) Houle, 92, of Lancaster, died Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at Country Village-Genesis Elder Care Center in Lancaster when she has been a resident since February 1997, with her family by her side. Born December 20, 1916 in Berlin, NH a daughter of Benoit and Anna (Kelly) Hachey, she was a resident of Groveton for over 50 years before moving to Lancaster. Elizabeth loved her cats, playing Bingo and collecting stuffed animals. She is survived by her daughter Theresa A. Delemarter of Gaffney, S.C; son Joseph Houle of North Stratford, NH and a few nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents; her husband Andrew Houle; a sister Leanda Garneau and two brothers-in-law Joseph Houle and Frank Houle. Calling hours will be held on Friday February 27, 2009 from 6-9 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Mass will be Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Church.
