LYNDONVILLE, VT ERNESTINE A. (BENOIT) CURRIER, 84, formerly of Island Pond, died peacefully February 22, 2007, at the Pines Health and Rehab Center in Lyndonville, VT where she had been a resident for the past several years. Born February 4, 1923 in Martinville, Quebec a daughter of Edward and Emma (Henry) Benoit, she was a resident of Island Pond for over 40 years coming from Martinville. Ernestine is survived by her dear friend Louis Tyler of Island Pond, VT; her two sons Clement Currier and Edmond Currier both of Sherbrooke, Quebec; her two daughters Alice Currier of Sherbrooke, Quebec and Pauline Moraou of Montreal, Quebec; her sister Alice Cotnoer of Derby, VT nieces, nephews and cousins. At Ernestine's request there will be no calling hours. Mass will be held on Saturday, February 24 th at 1:00 pm at the St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor officiating. Burial will be in the spring at the Northumberland Cemetery, Groveton, NH.
