FLORA ELLA AUGER, 97 , formerly of Main Street, Groveton died peacefully on Friday, April 30, 2021, at The Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield after a lengthy illness.

Flora was born on February 7, 1924, in Groveton, NH the daughter of James Henry and Sarah Ann (Emery) Cass and was a lifelong resident of Groveton, living in her home for 70 years before moving to The Morrison in June of 2009.

Before retiring Flora worked for Wyoming Paper Co. and Groveton Paper Co. She enjoyed fishing; dancing with Albert; gardening; growing flowers and taking care of the family home. She also loved to dine out; go shopping and visit tourist attractions with her daughter Marlene and son-in-law Truman.

Flora was predeceased by her husband of 63 years on March 6, 2008; her parents James and Sarah Cass; one daughter Sally Auger; and seven siblings Ruth Cass; Mary Stinson; Elizabeth Arsenault; Elmer "Dubby" Cass; Thomas Cass; Jimmy Cass; and Robert Cass.

Flora is survived by one daughter Marlene Champagne and husband Truman of Littleton, NH; one grandson Marty Parks; and four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

At Flora's request, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held May 6, 2021, at 1:00pm, at the Northumberland Cemetery with Pastor Patricia Williams of the Groveton United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
