FLORENCE (CLOURIER) "BLOOT" KINGSTON, 84 of Prospect Street, Groveton, died Monday July 30, 2007 at Country Village-Genesis Elder Care Center with her loving family by her side. "Bloot" as she liked to be called was born in Berlin, NH on November 17, 1922 a daughter of Adelard and Rosanna (Bergeron) Cloutier; she was one of 14 children. When she was young the family moved to Northumberland to work at the Wyoming Valley Paper Company. When she was old enough she followed the example of many of her brothers and sisters and went to work in the mill and in her words "had to work hard" to advance into the wax room in 1939 making cut size wax paper. Later, she and her husband both worked at the Groveton Paper Company until her retirement in 1987. She met her husband Durward "Jazzo" Kingston in 1937 and didn't marry until after his tour of service during WWII was complete in 1946, they celebrated 56 years of marriage before Jazzo died on August 13, 2002. Bloot enjoyed telling stories of the family responsibilities of a young girl of that time and the need to be home early and fighting with her brothers. Their favorite memories were of nieces and nephews over to camp at Maidstone Lake, family and friends knew they were always welcome. Florence enjoyed crocheting dishtowels. She was a member of the Groveton American Legion Post # 17 Auxiliary and St. Francis Xavier Church. Florence, a special lady, was a positive example to everyone around her and together with her husband; "Florence and Jazzo" were often heard to say "It's been a good life." She will be missed by her surviving brother Lorenzo "Zoe" Cloutier and wife Madeleine of Groveton her many nieces and nephews especially the Cloutier families, the Maguire family and the Forrest family. She was predeceased by her husband Durward on August 13, 2002; her parents and 12 brothers and sisters.
