Obituary

Frank P. Collins, 83, died peacefully at his daughter's home in Twin Mountain, NH, where he had lived since May of 2005, after a lengthy illness. Frank was born in Boston, MA on November 2, 1926. He lived most of his life in Quincy, MA. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy,serving during WWII. Before retiring, he worked as a Property Manager for Lewis Wharf, Union Wharf in Boston and Lewisburg Square in Quincy. He enjoyed boating and spending time on the ocean. No matter what was broken, Frank could fix it. He was a work-a-holic but always put his family first. He was an avid football fan, Notre Dame being his favorite team. Frank also loved music. Playing the organ and guitar was a passion to him. He is survived by five daughters, Audrey Lacey and her late husband William Lacey of Quincy MA. Theresa Vasconcellos and her husband Albert of Braintree, MA. Colleen Collins of Quincy Ma. Catherine MacInnis and her husband Daren of Twin Mountain, NH. Jean Collins of Quincy, MA, along with seven grandchildren. William and Thomas Lacey, James Flaherty, Richard, Katherine and MichaelVasconcellos, and Kayla Leanor Ciccarello. He was an extremely devoted husband to the late Eleanor Collins of Quincy MA, who was the Love of His Life. He was the father of the late Thomas Collins, James Collins and Brian Collins, all of Quincy MA. A service will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Church in North Quincy MA. Friends and relatives are invited to the Nickerson Post in Squantum, MA, immediately following the service. Inturnment will be held at a later date at The Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Donations may be made to the Patrick White Foundation, 143 Harvard St. Quincy MA 02171. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton, NH.
