FREDERICK WILLIAM SWEATT, 83, of North Stratford, died peacefully on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Coos County Nursing Hospital in West Stewartstown, where he has been a resident since 2019.

Frederick was born on September 20, 1940, in Colebrook, NH, a son of the late Forrest and Virginia (Edwards) Sweatt, he was a lifelong resident of the Colebrook/Stratford area. Frederick was a graduate of Colebrook Academy, class of 1958.

Before retirement, Frederick worked as a forklift and clamp truck operator for Wausau Paper Co. Frederick loved watching sports of all kinds, but his favorites were the Red Sox and NASCAR. He enjoyed playing golf and working in his garden.

Frederick is survived by his three children Kevin Sweatt and wife Linnea of Sanford, NC; Jason "Sweatty" Sweatt and wife Nicole "Sunshine of Colebrook; and Cheryl Goulet and husband Brian of Groveton; five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and five step-grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers Dennis Sweatt of Ohio; and Van Sweatt of Durham, NH; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

His wife Miriam A, Sweatt, predeceased him on May 20, 2014.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 5:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton, with his son Kevin officiating.
