GEORGETTE GOULET, 87, of Lost Nation Road, Groveton died peacefully at her residence with her loving family by her side. Born on July 31, 1924 in Derby Line, Vermont she was the daughter of Alfred F. and Maria D. (McClure) Gagnon and was a lifelong resident of Groveton. Before retiring in April of 1988 Georgette had worked for over 40 years at Groveton Papers. She is a member of the St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish in Groveton. She enjoyed knitting, reading, singing, dancing and playing the organ. Georgette loved to play Skip-Bo with her grandchildren and spend time with her family. She is survived by her children Mary Jane Goulet Cunningham; Aime, Jr. "Tim" Goulet and wife "Kallie"; Wayne Goulet and wife June; Doreen Hart and husband Dick; Mark Goulet and wife Sheila all of Groveton; Mitchell Goulet of Lowell, Mass. and Richard Goulet of Lake Stevens, Washington; 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Her siblings Gerry Major of Amherst, NH; Bill Gagnon and wife Janet of Groveton and Helen Valliere and husband Lawrence of Acton, ME along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive her. Georgette was predeceased by her parents; husband Aime A. Goulet, Sr. on Nov. 11, 1974 and two brothers Alfred Gagnon and Florent "Bib" Gagnon. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 1, 2012 from 3-6 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Mass of Christian burial will be said on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 11:00 am at St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton with Fr. Daniel Deveau pastor officiating.
