GERARD JERRY' DENIS LABRECQUE, 90, of State Street, Groveton, died on September 5, 2013 at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster after a sudden illness. Born on October 9, 1922 in Saint Hermenegide, Canada a son of the late: Philias and Eva (Dionne) Labrecque; he has been a resident of Groveton for 58 years, coming from North Stratford and before that Vermont. Before retiring 1987 Jerry worked for Groveton Paper Board for 38 years. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. His idea of a family holiday was to go for a ride in the country side and have a picnic and see the nature. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pauline (Gaudette) Labrecque of Groveton; daughter Rose McGlone of Groveton; son Larry Labrecque of Middleton, NH; two granddaughters Devin Lumbra and husband Shawn and their two sons Ryan and Colby all of Richford, VT and Brittani Labrecque of Middleton, NH; one sister Pauline Tetreault of Meredith, NH and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; one sister Beatrice Lambert and six brothers Armand; Leopaul; Lionel; Louis; Rosario and Ubald. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2013 from 5-8 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral service will be Monday, Sept. 9th at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor of St. Francis Xavier Church officiating. Inurnment will be on Wednesday, Sept. 11th at 10:00 am in the Northumberland Cemetery.
