GROVETON GRACE I. (AUBURY) HICKEY, 88, of Melcher Court, Groveton died peacefully Thursday, March 1, 2007 at Week's Medical Center, Lancaster after a lengthy illness. Born March 26, 1918 in Troy, Vermont a daughter of William and Florence (King) Aubury, she was a resident of Groveton most of her life. Grace was a member of the Groveton United Methodist Church; she was a past Sunday School supervisor for many years. She was one of the starters of the Meals on Wheels of Groveton. Grace loved to read and crochet. She will be missed by all whom knew her. Grace is survived by her son James "Jim" Hickey, Jr. and wife Louise of Stark and five grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband James Hickey, Sr. August 7, 1977 and a son Randy Hickey February 21, 1996. Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 5, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; Groveton. Services will be held on Tuesday March 6, 2007 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Thomas W. Bentum, pastor of the Christ United Methodist Church, Lancaster officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the Northumberland Cemetery.
