Hadley was born at his family home in Groveton, NH. He was the eldest son of six children to the late Joseph Henry and Mary Louise (Goulet) Platt.
He worked in a few different industries throughout his career; with great joy and so many memories shared most recently prior to his passing were those during his early employment on family/local dairy farms and trucking transportation for his Uncle Jimmy Platt's businesses. He continued to serve as a volunteer in support of fellow service women and men in honor with final salutes at military memorials and through community/holiday ceremonies and celebrations/parades. He was a member of the American Legion Post #17 and the VFW Post #6808 of Groveton.
