HARLAN E. McMANN, The owner and operator of the McMann Farm, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at Week's Medical Center in Lancaster at the age of 82. Born December 15, 1925 in Stratford, NH a son of Earl and Della (Curtis) McMann, he lived his whole life in Stratford. He was a member of the North Country ATV Club and the Farmer's Market in Colebrook. Harlan was a Selectman for the Town of Stratford for many years and he also drove school bus for the Stratford School District for many years. He was a huge Red Sox fan; loved pigs and pig memorabilia. He loved to play cribbage and played in the cribbage tournaments held at the Loyal Order of the Moose Club in Groveton. Harlan also loved his vegetable garden, hunting, fishing, trapping and picking berries. In the winter time he would make wreaths and kissing balls. He is survived by his two children Keith McMann of Ashland, NH and Joyce Dunlap and husband Jack of Manchester; two sisters Jean Campbell and husband Vern of Clifton, ME and Joan LaPointe of Stark; one brother Wayne McMann and wife Beverly of Concord; four grandchildren Sean Scott; Keri Pinsonneault; Heidi Starr and Kirby Daggett; seven great grandchildren Nick Scott; Mariah Johnston; Ashley and Alysa Pinsonneault; Taylor McMann-Bathalon; Hazel Starr and Danivyn Daggett, and special friend Laura McKenzie of Stratford. He was predeceased by his parents; one brother George McMann and one sister Joyce McMann. Memorial calling hour will be held on Saturday June 7, 2008 from 3-4 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home, with funeral services following at the funeral home, with Rev. Jim Michaels pastor of the Assembly of God Church in Lancaster officiating.
