HELEN M. CARVER, 94, formerly of Groveton, died Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen, were she has been a resident since October 2005. Born in Groveton on May 13, 1912 a daughter of John and Anne (Savage) McCormack she was a lifelong resident of Groveton until she moved to her son's home in Concord in Sept. 2004. Helen was a loving mother and volunteered at the town library for several years. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church and the Daughters of Isabella. She was also a Eucharistic Minister. Mrs. Carver is survived by her five children Beverly Brown and husband Harry of Williamstown, Mass.; Robert Carver and wife Yvette of Wildwood, FL; Lin Carver and wife Jan of Columbus, Ohio; Paul Carver of Woodbury, New Jersey and Peter Carver and wife Diane of Concord, NH. Fifteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive her. She was predeceased by her husband Edwin J. Carver on February 18, 1971. Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday November 8, 2006 from 6-8 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State Street; Groveton. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, November 9th at 10:00 am at the St. Francis Xavier Church; Groveton. Interment will follow in the Northumberland Cemetery.
