HELEN CIKACZ, 83 of Groveton died peacefully December 29, 2007 at Week's Medical Center in Lancaster a brief illness. Born February 10, 1924 in Poland a daughter of Jana and Marceli (Kulik) Barszcz, Helen has been a resident of Groveton for the past 13 months. Prior to living in Groveton she lived in Littleton for about two years and before that she lived most of her life in the Boston/Dorchester, Mass area. Before retiring, Helen was a meatpacker for Armor Star Meats, Inc. She loved gardening both flowers and vegetables. "She was a darn good cook; cooking some of the best Polish dishes ever." Helen loved her four grandsons and one great grandson and will be missed by all who knew her. Helen is survived by one daughter Irene Anderson and her husband Scott of Groveton; one son Richard Cikacz and his wife Elizabeth "Betty" of Dorchester, Mass; four grandsons; one great grandson; and one sister of Poland. She is predeceased by her husband Walter Cikacz; one son Henry J. Cikacz and one sister Phyllis Cikacz. Memorial services will be held in Dorchester, Mass. at a later date with inurnment in the St. Michael's Cemetery in Boston, MA in the spring.
