Henry "Hank" Joseph Dion, Jr., 84, of Cloutier Dr., Stark died peacefully on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Hank was born on April 4, 1932 in Temple, ME a son of Henry J. Dion, Sr. and Elsie (Pavala) Dion.  Hank has been a resident of Stark since 2006 coming from Somerville, MA.

Before retiring on June 29, 2006, Hank worked as a truck driver for 50 years for Kraft Foods.  He loved to ride snow machines, and four-wheelers, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and to sing songs and was a member of the "Bog Entertainers".

Hank was a Korean War Veteran; a member of the American Legion Post 747 in Somerville, MA; VFW Post 6808 of Groveton, AMVETS; and the Groveton Trailblazers.

Hank is survived by his wife of 61 years Barbara Dion of Somerville, MA; nine children Henry J. Dion, III of Stark; Barbara McMahon of Somerville, MA; Patrick Dion of Medford, MA; Mark Dion of Weymouth, MA; Patricia "Tricia" Dion of Somerville, MA; Cathy Dion of Somerville, MA; Paul Dion of Revere, MA; Heather Dion of Billerica, MA; and Erika Dion of Somerville, MA; sixteen grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and one sister Elizabeth Toothaker of Strong, ME.

He was predeceased by his parents and five siblings, Oliver Walli, Allen Walli, Ruth Wheeler, Shirley Hubbard, and Robert Suomi.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 4-8 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor of the St. Francis Xavier Church officiating. Inurnment with Military Honors will be on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1:00 pm in the Emerson Road Cemetery.
