HERBERT GRANT ROBY, JR, 59, of Marietta Lane, Northumberland, died peacefully at his home with his family by his side on Monday, December 23, 2024, after a lengthy illness.

Herb was born on March 9, 1965, in Nashua, NH the son of Herbert G. Roby, Sr and Barbara (Rainie) Roby. He was a lifelong resident of the Lancaster/Groveton area and graduated from Groveton High School in 1984.

Over the years he worked 18 years for CB Cummings on the pipeline; 15 years for Ethan Allen and 5 years for NSA.

Herb loved hunting, fishing, and ice fishing.

Herb is survived by his mother Barbara Roby, his two sons Andrew Roby of Laconia and Adam Roby of Littleton, two grandchildren, and three siblings Beverly Farra, Frank Gray, and Floyde Roby, and his girlfriend Lori Marcotte.

Herb was predeceased by his father Herbert G. Roby, Sr.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 11:00 am in the Northumberland Cemetery.
