IRMA E. KNIGHTS, 88 formerly of Rich Street, Groveton, died peacefully August 23, 2007 at Country Village-Genesis Elder Care Center, Lancaster, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Knights was born January 16, 1919 in Roxbury, MA the daughter of Clyde E. and Mildred (Wade) Forrest and was raised by her step-mother Adelaide (Marshall) Forrest. She was a homemaker most of her life and will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great –grandmother who loved to dance, was an excellent cook and talented knitter. Her heart and home were always open to family and friends. She is survived by her three daughters Mrs. Allan (Nancy) Merrow of Groveton, Mrs. Kenneth (Sally) Burt of Littleton and Mrs. Keven (Penny) Lajoie of Candia, NH; seven grand children and (17) seventeen great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Karen, her husband of 54 years John, a sister Josephine and two brothers Elbridge and John. Visiting hours will be Sunday, August 26, 2007 from 10 AM – 12 Noon at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral service will be at the Groveton United Methodist Church at 1:00 pm with Pastor Sherry O'Bara officiating. Burial will be at the families' convenience. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to Hospice of Weeks Medical Center, 278 Main Street, Lancaster, NH 03584.
