JAMES "JIM" ERNEST FINDLEY, 67, of Country Village Road, Lancaster, died peacefully on August 16, 2013 at Country Village-Genesis Elder Care Center where he had been a resident since 2005. He was born in Northumberland, NH on November 6, 1945 the son of the late: Ernest E. and Neoma B. (Walker) Findley, he resided in Groveton until moving to Lancaster in 2005. Before retiring he was employed by the Town of Northumberland for over 20 years on the Highway Department. Jim was a past member of the Groveton Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He was a member of the Groveton Moose Lodge and of the National Riffle Association. He is survived by his son Jim Findley of Twin Mountain; step-son Wade Bedell of Groveton; his best friend JoAnn Bedell of Groveton; sister Millie Murphy of Berlin, NH; three nieces Maurine; Lisa; and Tine; one nephew Bobby. Jim was predeceased by his parents and two sisters Carol and Gloria. At Jim's request there will be no calling hours. A private family service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
