JANET GLORIA (DUPUIS) "GRAM" GAGNON, 83, of Cumberland St., Groveton, died Wednesday, October 2, 2019, after a period of failing health, with her loving family by her side.
Janet was born on March 6, 1936, in Groveton, NH a daughter of Ovila and Geraldine (Hope) Dupuis and has been a resident of Groveton her whole life until going to The Morrison a few years ago.
Janet worked as a store clerk at Dupuis' Country Store for many years until it's closing and was a loving homemaker. She loved puzzles, especially difficult ones, bird watching, camping and making smores by the campfire and telling jokes. She was a great seamstress, and cook.
Janet was a member of the St. Marguerite d'Youville Parish/St. Francis Xavier Church.
Janet is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Clarence "Bill" Gagnon of Groveton, whom she met in the second grade and have been best friends since. Their two sons Michael Gagnon and wife Sandy; and Stanley Gagnon, all of Groveton; four grandchildren Katie Lewis and husband Jon of Nashua, NH; Jim Gagnon of Coconut Creek, FL; Phillip Gagnon of Rollinsford, ME; and Pam Gagnon of Laconia, NH; one brother Bernard Dupuis of Lancaster; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters Dorothy "Dorsie" Thayer and Lucille Savage; and two brothers Maurice Dupuis and Bob Dupuis.
Calling hours will be held at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton on Sunday, October 6, 2019, from 4 pm - 7 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, October 7, 2019, at 12:00 pm at the St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton with Fr. Daniel Deveau, pastor officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Northumberland Cemetery.
