Joanne "Jodi" Marie Paradis

JOANNE “JODI” PARADIS, 71, of Groveton died on Monday, February 9, 2026, at Concord Hospital in Concord, NH, after a sudden illness.

Jodi was born in Lancaster, NH, on May 12, 1954, the daughter of the late William “Bill” Leopaul and Elizabeth “Betty” Jean (Hartford) Paradis. Jodi was a lifelong resident of Groveton and a graduate of Groveton High School, class of 1972.

Over the years, Jodi worked as an office worker for James River Corporation, a front desk clerk at the Cabot Motor Inn; housekeeper at the Mount Washington Resort; sales clerk at Perras Ace; sales clerk and office manager at Emerson Home Center, and an office clerk at Dalton Mountain Motors.

Jodi was a Supervisor of the Checklist for the Town of Northumberland for 24 years and the official greeter at the election polls for the past three years. She was a founding member of the Groveton Community Christmas Committee. She was a past member of the Groveton Ambulance Corp., past Cub-master of Pack #233, Cub Scouts, and Board member of Troop #233, Boy Scouts. Jodi was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, post #17, Groveton, and the St. Francis Xavier Church.

Jodi is survived by her two sons, Ryan Shannon and Kevin Shannon, both of Groveton, two grandchildren, one sister-in-law, Holy Paradis of Stark, and two nieces, Melissa and Lindsay, and many close friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Jodi was predeceased by her father, Bill, on June 14, 2007; her mother, Betty, on April 5, 2019; and her brother, Richard “Dick” Paradis, on March 3, 2020.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Fr. Daniel Deveau officiating. Inurnment will be in the Summer Street Cemetery in Lancaster on Jodi's birthday, May 12, 2026, at 11:00 am.
