TWIN MOUNTAIN JOHN FURTADO, 38 of Parker Road, Twin Mountain, died December 12, 2006 at his residence after a brief illness. Born in Portugal on June 24, 1968 a son of Manuel and Serafina (Verrimo) Furtado, he was a resident of Twin Mountain for the past four years, coming from Providence, Rhode Island. John was a graduate of Davies Vo-Tech, Class of 1986 in Lincoln, Rhode Island. He was a chef and while in the Twin Mountain area he worked for The Cabot Motor Inn, Lancaster; The Mooseland Grille, Twin Mountain and the Cog Railway. John loved camping, fishing, traveling and mountain hiking. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. John is survived by his mother Serafina Furtado of Leighigh Acres, Florida; his daughter Kelsey Furtado; son Nathan Furtado; three sisters Maria Camara of Ft. Myers, Fl.; Manuela Gagnon of Leighigh Acres, FL and Lucy Araujo of New Bedford, MA; one brother Roy Furtado of Leighigh Acres, FL and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Manuel Furtado in 1993. There will be no calling hours or services. Arrangement are entrusted to the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home; 100 State Street; Groveton.
