JOHN JOSEPH "JACK" MORRISON, 80, of Clarksville, died peacefully on Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Country Village-Genesis Center in Lancaster where he had been a resident for the past two years, with his loving wife by his side.
Jack was born on August 25, 1939, in Somerville, MA, lived in Wilmington, MA for several years and moved to Clarksville, NH in 1997.
He worked for most of his life as a municipal employee for the Town of Somerville. Jack was a Veteran of the US Army and served during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the American Legion Post 388 in Somerville, MA; the 40&8 Club; the Somerville Municipal Employee Association; the Retired State-County-Municipal Employee Association; he was a Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree of the Bishop Bradley Assembly #0634; a Third Degree of the Fr. Simard Council #2339; a past District Deputy of District #14 and past Faithful Navigator of the Fourth Degree.
Jack is survived by his wife of 50 years Jean L. (Dalton) Morrison of Clarksville; Two step-children Martin Hession and Theresa Faria; two sisters Catherine Massa and Joanne Dobson both of Massachusets; and several grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; one brother Richard Morrison; one sister Maryanne Donovan and two step-daughters Mary Crandall and Charlene Harris.
Graveside service with Military Honors will be held on June 4, 2020, at 1:00 pm in the NorthumberlandCemetery in Groveton. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Armstrong-Charron Funeral Home in Groveton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jack's name to the charity of one's choice.
